Welsh Jobs Fair
On Thursday, 19 March 精东传媒 will for the first time be hosting a Welsh Jobs Fair. As the principal provider of Welsh medium Higher Education, 精东传媒 equips its students to undertake a broad range of posts that require Welsh language skills. Around 30 employers will attend the Fair 鈥 from the public and private sector, locally and internationally based 鈥 and their representatives will discuss with the students how their skills as Welsh speakers are relevant to the world of work.
Professor Jerry Hunter (Pro Vice-Chancellor Welsh medium and Civic Engagement) commented that: 鈥楾his Welsh Jobs Fair emphasises 精东传媒鈥檚 commitment to developing a workforce that is able to respond to the needs of a Welsh language labour market. We are keen for our students to understand the range of opportunities available to them as Welsh speakers and as students who have studied through the medium of Welsh鈥.
The Fair is a joint venture between UMCB (精东传媒鈥檚 Welsh language Students Union), Canolfan Bedwyr and the University鈥檚 Careers Service. It will be held between 12.00 and 14.00 in Neuadd Powis in the University鈥檚 Main Building. All are welcome to attend.
