Resources to support bilingual teaching delivery
We are on the cusp of a period of significant change in the world of education. This is our opportunity to take ownership of the challenge and seek innovative approaches to teaching a minority language. And we have started on the journey.
The purpose of the 鈥楤ilingual Teaching Methods鈥 booklet is to offer an initial overview of the international literature which relates to bilingual learning and teaching methods. The booklet identifies classroom contexts where bilingualism leads the teaching, relating those practices to the educational context here in Wales, as is characteristic of the learner鈥檚 real experiences.
精东传媒 recently held (pre-pandemic) a one-day conference on 鈥榃elsh in Education and Bilingualism鈥.
Canolfan Bedwyr
Additionally, 精东传媒鈥檚 Canolfan Bedwyr offers a Sabbatical Scheme language course for teachers, lecturers, instructors and classroom assistants who wish to improve their Welsh and gain more confidence in using the language.
The course is available at three levels, and Canolfan Bedwyr at 精东传媒 deliver the Higher course:
- Higher (first language Welsh speakers and fluent learners)
- Entry (learners)
- Foundation (learners)
National Education Masters
Seven universities have brought together world-renowned experts to transform the future of teaching. As part of the biggest investment in teacher professional learning across Wales, 精东传媒 now offers a National Education Masters degree.
