Welcome to the North Wales School of Education
LEARN, BELONG, MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Welcome to the North Wales School of Education at ¾«¶«´«Ã½ – a place where you can turn your ambitions into experience and build a rewarding career that makes a difference to the lives of children and young people.
You won’t just learn about education – you’ll experience it. Through school-based training, workplace placements, professional projects and opportunities to learn from people already working in the sector, you’ll connect your studies with the world beyond university. You’ll build practical experience, confidence and professional connections that can make a real difference when it comes to securing your first job and building your future career.
If you’re training to teach, you’ll spend valuable time in schools, putting your learning into practice and developing your own identity as a teacher. You’ll be supported by experienced teachers and university staff and benefit from our strong partnerships with schools. We're particularly proud that many of our graduates go on to secure their first teaching posts or continue their studies at master's level. Through practical experience, professional support and strong school partnerships, we're committed to helping you make a strong start to your career beyond ¾«¶«´«Ã½.
Perhaps you know you want to work with children and young people but you’re not yet sure where that could take you. That’s part of the journey. You’ll have opportunities to explore different career paths, gain workplace experience and discover where your interests and strengths could lead. Our graduates go on to exciting and varied careers in education and across organisations and services supporting children, young people, families and communities. Others may progress to postgraduate study or take the skills and experience they gain at ¾«¶«´«Ã½ into completely different fields.
If you’re joining us for master's or doctoral study, you’ll have opportunities to deepen your expertise, challenge your thinking and take your career in a new direction. You’ll learn alongside academics and professionals whose work connects research with the challenges and opportunities facing education and society today.
Importantly our students say that we are a friendly and supportive community where you’ll be known as an individual. Proudly located in North Wales, we celebrate our Welsh identity and bilingual heritage while preparing our students for careers and opportunities in Wales and beyond.
As Head of School, it is important to me that you succeed, and I love to see where our students go next. Whether that be your first job, progressing in your career, or continuing your studies and making a difference in schools, organisations and communities.
If you’re starting your first degree, training to become a teacher or taking your career further through postgraduate study, you’ll join a School that puts your future at the heart of what we do.
Whatever your starting point and wherever you want to go next, we want your time at ¾«¶«´«Ã½ to open doors, broaden your opportunities and help you build a future you’re excited about.
Welcome to ¾«¶«´«Ã½. We’d love you to be part of it.
